Tail Baits
Coz i love to fish with Tail-Baits, have I made some for me and my friends.
The "Cat" took me a lot of time to find out how to paint the special pattern of a Catfish (Silurus glanis).
After a few failed attempts, did I find a way.
I need to say, I´m happy with the result :-D
The other one is a classic pike out of my collection.
Da ich es liebe mit Tail-Baits zu fischen, habe ich ein paar für mich und Freunde gebaut.
Es dauerte eine Weile, um das doch spezielle Welsdekor (Silurus glanis) des "Cat" hin zubekommen.
Einige Fehlschläge später habe ich aber einen Weg gefunden.
Ich muss sagen, dass ich mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden bin.
Der andere Köder ist im klassischen Hechtdekor aus meiner Farbpalette.

Lure Experiments
Here are some of the new lures I made. I experimented with new sizes. The red one is 14cm long. As well as with new pattern, like foil an crappie style. Therefore did I use aluminum foil that I have had coined differently.
I also put some tails on, coz I love fishing with tail baits. Unfortunately, some lures have already some bite marks ;-D
Hier sind noch ein paar neue Köder, die ich gebaut habe. Habe dabei auch mit neuen Größen experimentiert. Der Rote ist hier 14cm lang. Aber auch mit neuen Farben, wie Crappie und Foliendekor. Dafür habe ich die Folie auf verschiedene Arten geprägt.
Weil ich das fischen mit Tailbaits liebe, habe ich den Ködern auch gleich noch ein paar Tails verpasst.

North Fork-Swim Bait Rod
Hey guys,
here is the latest rod I made. The rod is based on a rare blank from North Fork Composites.
A length of 8' and a mod-fast mag heavy action predestinate the rod for swim bait applications.
NFC donated the blank with 2-8oz. But I would say 3-7oz might fit much better.
Due to the real mod fast action load up the blank very nice and cast the swim baits quite far. Its a perfect rod for bottom to mid water applications.
With softer first third and a lot of power in the lower sections shall it be no problem to handle even the biggest pikes.
I´ve choosen 10+1 Fuji-K Alconite guides in 12-5.5 with a #6 tip top. A high quality EVA some titanium anodized winding checks and carbon applications are used for the grip. The Fuji-PSS reel seat is painted in metallic black that strikes the eye.

Der Blank von Noth Fork Composites ist relativ schwer zu bekommen. Mit einer Länge von 8 Fuß und einer mod-fast mag heavy Aktion ist er für Swimbait-Anwendungen prädestiniert.
NFC hat den Blank mit 2-8oz angeben, würde ihn aber eher mit 3-7oz raten.
Durch die mod-fast Aktion lädt sich der blank gut auf und wirft die Swimbaits recht weit.
Die Rute ist genial für Grund- und Mittelwasseranwendungen. Im ersten Drittel ist sie recht weich, hat aber ein sehr kräftiges Rückgrat. So ist es kein Problem auch den stärksten Fisch zu händeln.
Die Rute ist mit 10+1 Fuji Alconit K-guides bestückt, die in den Größen 12-5.5 mit einem 6er Top verbaut worden sind. Hochqualitatives EVA, titanfarben eloxierte Winding Checks und ein paar Carbonteile verzieren den Griff. Der Fuji PSS ist als Blickfang in einem schönen metallic-schwarz lackiert.

Special Colors

Jig Rod SS3
Hey guys,
here is a new rod I´ve made during these cold days.
It's an 9' 2pc rod for softbait applications.
The rod is very fast and sensitive. Coz of the cold weather with over-20°C is not yet possible to test the rod on the water. But soft baits up to 9" shall be work with her.
The guides are Fuji Titanium K-Guides (9+1).
Some parts like winding checks, butt cap and guides are ordered at Matagi Japan.
I´ve painted the seat, who shall fit to a Stella.

während der letzten kalten Tage habe ich wieder eine neue Rute gebaut.
Es ist eine 9' Gummirute.
Die Rute ist sehr schnell und sensibel. Wegen des kalten Wetters mit Temp. von über -20°C , war es noch nicht möglich sie am Wasser zu testen.
Aber Gummifische bis 23cm sollten sich gut fischen lassen.
Verbaut wurden Fuji K-Titanringe (9+1).
Einige Teile, wie Winding Checks, Abschlusskappe und Ringe habe ich von Matagi Japan.
Den Rollenhalter habe ich so lackiert, dass er möglichst zu einer Stella passt.

Some Pikes...
Short before the closed season starts, did went to the lake for a last fishing trip.
Heavy rain, strong wind (up to Beaufort #5) and cold temperature where not that cosy.
But we got in almost 5 hours 11 Pikes up to 75cm.
All Pikes have bitten on my lures :-)

New Lures
Hey guys,
I´ve made some new lures. Some "Victim XL" and some "Victim L". As you can see do the most guys love the color Pike much. But we caught a lot on "Ghost" as well. Its an unexpected nice color.
Due to a mistake by me. I´ve drilled the holes for the lead in the opposite site where they normally belong. So have I make a "Belly-up" version. Even if the lure looks preposterous, does the lure move very well.

Aufgrund meiner Schusseligkeit, habe ich die Löcher für das Blei auf der falschen Seite gebohrt. So habe ich dann eine Belly-up Version draus gebaut. Auch wenn es etwas grotesk ausschaut, läuft der Köder sehr gut.
